Robyn Carter
I am a Master of Social Work graduate with a strong interest in supporting individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. I believe therapy begins with connection, creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, safe, and able to show up without judgment. My approach is relational and collaborative, grounded in building trust and moving at a pace that feels manageable for each person.
With a background in Psychology, Addiction Education, and over five years of crisis intervention experience, I have supported individuals through acute and ongoing distress, including suicidal thoughts. I draw from ACT, DBT, CBT, and solution-focused approaches, using them in a way that fits the person rather than forcing a model. Together, we focus on understanding patterns without shame, building practical coping tools, and reconnecting with a sense of choice and agency through small, meaningful steps aligned with what matters most.
