The Why of Boyd Therapy and Wellness
After years working in crisis mental health across London, St. Thomas, and Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, I saw something over and over again: the people who healed weren't the ones with the "right" diagnosis or the fanciest treatment plan. They were the ones who finally felt safe enough to be real with someone. Connection, authenticity, and safety. That's what changes things. Everything else is built on top of that.
That's why I started Boyd Therapy and Wellness.
How we work
Therapy here isn't a script. It's a real relationship, and the work shapes itself around who you are and what you're actually dealing with. We pay attention to all the different parts of your story, the context you're living in, the people and systems around you, the stuff that shaped you long before you walked into the room. None of it gets flattened into a checklist.
We lead with genuine curiosity and genuine care. The kind that wants to understand why your life looks the way it does, and what's underneath the patterns you're tired of. We believe context matters. We believe healing and growth are possible for everyone, including the people who've been told otherwise, or who've tried before and didn't find the right fit.
Making therapy feel possible
Starting therapy is a big step, and we want it to feel doable from the first click.
We keep wait times short, so most new clients can book a first session quickly, often within days. And when you get there, you'll meet someone who's warm, skilled, and easy to talk to. Someone who's genuinely glad you came, and ready to meet you where you are.
